We support five girls through their secondary education in the Cape Verde Islands. Read about the project below. We run the 'tuck shop' at Ty Celyn Sunday Club for disabled children. We supply toiletry packs for Rhymney Valley Women's Aid. We provide Christmas Gifts for teenage girls and mothers in Barnardo's Marlborough Road Project.
We helped to found and fund a nursery in the poorer area of Mauritius. In 2005 we won a very special award for this project at our annual conference in Nottingham.
In addition we support other parts of SI and the organisations of which we are members – Wales South Region, SIGBI, UNA, UNIFEM, and Amnesty International.
